Duke - Albany Tournament Facts

Here are some NCAA Tournament facts about Duke and Albany:

Post-Game:
The ACC is now 3-0 vs. the America East Conference.  All 3 victories are by Duke.

Duke is now 20-4 when #1 in the RPI.  They have been #1 six times.  They have advanced to at least the Sweet Sixteen each time they have been #1 in RPI.

Duke is 13-0 when facing a team with an RPI #100 or greater.

Duke is 62-10 vs. unranked opponents.

America East fails to send a team to the Round of 32 for the 8th consecutive year.  It ties the longest streak in conference history.  They also didn't have any teams from 1997-2004.

Albany is now 0-3 in the tournament.

Pre-Game:
Mike Krzyzewski is the all-time winningest coach in tournament history with 79.

Duke is 2-0 vs. the America East Conference.  Both wins were in a #2-#15 game. They defeated Boston 85-69 in 1988 and Binghamton 86-62 in 2009.

Duke is 24-3 in the Round of 64.  Their losses were last year to Lehigh 75-70, 2007 to VCU 79-77 and 1996 to Eastern Michigan 75-60.

Duke is 4-0 playing in the state of Pennsylvania (all in Philadelphia).

Duke's last 8 tournament losses were to a lower seeded team.  The last time they lost as a lower seed was 2003 against #2 Kansas in the Sweet Sixteen.  Duke was the #3 seed.
